Hi, thanks for the video! - I am trying to run API request in Python but getting Connection Error. Maybe you know what can be the issue? - I also tried to download data directly from the web page - request is being added queued list and nothing happened afterwards. Is it ok?

Dear Berenger, Thank for this indeed very helpful video! I tried to run the code in both Jupyter and Spyder, but I get errors (invalid syntax, etc.) in both cases. The errors are in relation to the first code line "conda install -c conda-forge cdsapi". I noticed that when you paste the "cdsapirc.txt" from your videos to your local disc, the file is already there (not in my case) and you simply delete the old and rename the new. Could this be the reason? Other than this I followed what you do step by step.

Hi Berenger! Thx for uploading this vid! When I tried it (not via Jupyter but via the regular Anaconda Promt terminal), the file was not directly saved to my disk. In the "process completed" notification i received the location was displayed as a Hyperlink and I could then manually download the file in my browser. Is there any possibility to set the target directory for the download? (sorry, I'm a Python newbie) Great vid anyways!

Hi Ron, I have not yet tried it via the terminal but at the end of the code I copy, if you watch again the video, you can set the destination to 'C:/Desktop /..filename.nc.' instead of '' 'download.nc'

Please try that suggestion and let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Hello!! My question is how appears the txt document suddenly on Local Disk after you saved it in video folder.
@berenger90772 жыл бұрын
I create a text document, I paste the text in it and I save it in my local folder. then I change the exction to .cdsacrapi. NOTICE there is a dot in the begining and another one in the end. Then I copy that file in my C:/ folder
