How to Download & Setup Heimdall?

I keep getting stuck at the pit-print section because it says "Downloading device's PIT file... ERROR: Failed to receive end PIT file transfer verification! ERROR: Failed to download PIT file!" and doesn't automatically restart the phone

So, does the Linux guide bypass the need to install Wine? I was very excited when I saw this upload, because of not being able to install Heimdall over the Wine issue- not being able to install that either.

I'm not seeing wine mentioned in this version of Heimdall, but you should let me know if you experience the same. The download link is in the description, along with the brief instructions of where to put the file

Some lazy web developers named their webapp project Heimdall and I went through an install tutorial and was so confused why I was creating a docker container and looking at a website. Thanks for your video. I will come back to it after I uninstall this stupid thing and get the actual heimdall for flashing phones...ugh

BTW Is there any way to re-lock the bootloader after flash the pixel expericen recovery and rom? because when it's booting, it always prompt the unlock and unsafe warning, too annoying. Thanks.

no, you can't relock the bootloader with that ROM. I know that warning is annoying, but it's there for security reasons

yes, hte bootloader needs to be unlocked before you can flash any non-samsung firmware with heimdall

Turn off the phone (get out of download mode). Acess download mode a second time, and them do the zadig process again. It should install the drivers correctly on second try.

Same thing happened to me. Accessing download mode a second time doesn't work for me. Did you find a fix yet?
