You can rename the file anything you want? Because I'm kinda confused why the media creation tool iso is smaller than the other download option, and that they're all just named windows.iso Want to make a multi-boot USB, but windows 10 and 11 iso from this method have the same name.

Yes, you can rename the .ISO files to anything you want and they will still work perfectly fine.

Yes it should remain licensed but you need to use the same version, meaning, if you have Win 11 Home, you need to install Win 10 Home. If you have Win 11 Pro, you need to install Win 10 Pro.

What if I selected the first choice "upgrade now"

In that case the installer will do a hardware check to see if it can upgrade the computer you're using to Windows 10 and if it can, it will download the update and upgrade your computer to Windows 10, but you won't have an ISO file saved on the computer. If it's already on Windows 10 then it will just upgrade it to the latest version, which is 22H2. If you want to have an ISO file then you shouldn't choose the "upgrade now" option. You can always just run the media creation tool again, follow the steps I show in the video and then download the ISO file.

I think you have the ISO file but WinRar is set as the default to open ISO files on your pc. Try this: Right Click on the downloaded ISO file, select Properties and then check the file type, is it .ISO? You should be able to open the ISO file by right clicking on it, then selecting open with and then selecting File Explorer. Are you able to open the ISO file that way?
