The ISO file is downloaded to create the media in the USB drive but deleted after the media is created. So, monitor the C:\ProgramData\Dell\OS Recovery Tool\Downloads folder and copy the file before it is deleted. I copied the ISO file when the Dell recovery tool was formatting the USB drive.

Exactly right! If you cancel the USB writing process after the download is complete, the ISO file is not automatically deleted and can simply be copied from the folder location specified in this comment above. The USB writing takes a very long time anyway so you don't want to wait. More recent versions of DELL OS recovery tool work fine.

You dont have to use rufus, the dell recovery tool also creates a boot its just rufus is better but if you can't figure it out just insert the usb and restart when ready.

I tried following this but the recovery tool is newer than the one you showed, and there is not .iso file in c:\Program Files\Dell\OS Recovery Too\Downloads. Maybe because there is no Downloads folder. Very big problem with your video when you skip the part about the .ISO file.

yes you need to use the tool with win 10 for the security platform of current .net framework if you have not manually updated your older os from xp to win 8
