Hey is downloading the game with a launcher better or w/o the launcher is better?

I recommend the launcher as it automatically does it for you but if you have a mod or custom characters you'll need to do this method and copy and paste the previous build into the new one and when it asks you to replace the files click yes cuz it wont break anything
