Thanks for sharing! Wonderful lesson for drafting one’s own pattern for any size! How easy this is to follow! Now I can make one fat or skinny, longer or shorter and don’t have to be restricted to the sizes of other pattern makers! You have blessed all of us with your sharing!!!🥰

I just discovered your channel and really like it. I was scrolling down all the comments in the German tutorial hoping there is an English version as I really like to learn the formula. And voilà🤩😍😘😍🤩😘 Thanks so much for the tutorial!! It's very very useful to learn how the formula work. Although I enjoy the original tutorial in German, I really appreciate your efforts and time in creating an English version 🥰 It would be nice to add a link in English version in the description box for all your future tutorial for quick reference.

I'll do that! Thank you! 💗 I try to add English Captions/subtitles to all my videos, but have been a bit lax about it 🙈 so if there's a video you have difficulty following because it is missing said captions, please let me know.

Ótimo tutorial, obrigada!
@allalevkov57828 ай бұрын
Great explanation! Just wanted to note that everywhere there is '2a' measurement, it probably should be '2a + finsished zipper width', 2cm or so. I have sewn three now and in everyone of those '2a' long side was shorter then 2 'a' sides with the ziper sewn in by exactly finished zipper width. You could always cut the ziper corner, but it distorts the cube shape. I hope I'm making sense here :).

How did you calculate the seam allowances? I understand what to do if I want a specific measurement but like how do I adjust for my seam allowances?
@mommymade9 ай бұрын
I used a 1cm seam allowance. And added seam allowances to the measurements where needed. Starting with 04:00 in this video you see where I add them. That's the "+2cm seam allowance" or "+4cm" in the formulas. So whereever I add "+2cm" you could instead add 2 of your individual Seam Allowances if 1cm doesn't work so well for you. Where I say +4cm, add 4 of your seam allowances instead.
@Dej-kj2vb9 ай бұрын
Yes but I don't understand how that translates to making the pattern...Like when drawing my pattern for my outside fabric do I mark "a+2cm" on my paper or just "a"?@@mommymade
@mommymade8 ай бұрын
maybe just rewatch the video one more time. The sizes that are stated on the overview screen of what pieces you will need (example: something with a side length of a+2cm) is the size of fabric you need. The pattern drafting is a different thing. For the big main pattern just mark exactly what I show you to mark (example one side is a+b+a). That pattern doesn't includes seam allowances. You add those around the outsides when cutting your fabric, which is why your fabric piece needs to be (at least) a+b+a+2cm seam allowance

@mommymade9 ай бұрын
So you can make it literally ANY size you could possibly want! There are tons of printable patterns in various sizes out there. But what if they are a size you don't want? This is the only Tutorial that shows you how to draft your own in the size YOU want.
