Hi Lila, I must tell you this is the best demonstration of drafting a mermaid skirt on You Tube. I think I've viewed most if not all mermaid skirt videos, and your tutorial is the best. What I do like about what you did is, you included all sizes for hip and dart length. Most important you gave measurement on the hem width. Most videos did not give the width measurement of the hem. I also like how you explained the darts. Over all, I really like your video. Your explanations were clear and concise. Job well done. Thanks:-)

Hi Lila, I really loved your tutorial. It was easy to follow and understand. I will making a mermaid skit for my sister using this technique. I noticed that the sizes increased by an inch each time, does that apply to plus sizes as well? My sister usually wears 2x and your size went up to XL. Thanks :)

hi. Ya normally the size increases by 1" to 1.5". Plus size starting from XL should be more, about 1.5" to 2.5". But its better for you to measure ur sister directly. Coz these basic sizes sometimes dont match us perfectly becoz of our height.

What kind of paper are you using? I have several multiple size patterns I don't want to cut them but I want something strong I can pin to my dress form. I purchased medical paper from ebay or amazon BUT its super thin and tears easy. Love ya tutorial
