Hey! Seam allowance needs to be added to the center front, center back, neckline and the princess line. No need to add seam allowance on the side seam and armhole.

@@JenniferAnidu The shoulder strap doesn’t go till the edge of the shoulders for a sleeveless blouse like this. Hence the 5.5” measurement instead of the regular half of the shoulder width measurement.

What are the measurements from shoulder to shoulder? I think having that piece of information omitted is really confusing me, because I'm working with a measurement of 11 inches from shoulder to shoulder and so if I draw a line of 5.5 inches, of which two inches of that is the shoulder strap, then the shoulder strap will be cutting into her neck. If you could clarify the shoulder-shoulder measurements, that will help. Also, how come you went down the back six inches in the step before drawing the bust line instead of the neck length? In the measurements for my dress, the neck to bust measurement is five inches and so how do I adjust the six-inch line in your video at the 1:12 mark to accommodate the measurements I took off my model? Lastly, how did you determine the lengths of the diagonal lines in your video?

Hi! I made the pattern yesterday. It came out perfect but i was curious about the straight line from shoulder for the arm hole. You measured it at 6” (1:09). Is that a standard measurement for 32 bust? Or calculated from something? For my pattern, i simply took 0.5” more than shoulder. Was i right?

Hey! This pattern is based on 32” bust size. On your body, measure from shoulder to armhole, that should give you the measurement.

When you say ¼ does that mean the divided measurements of what we needed divided? The rest is pretty simple im just having trouble with that part

@@Ventithebard-to8zc Hey! So when I say divide by 1/4 it basically means dividing the original measurement by 4. For example, my bust measurement is 32”. So 1/4 of bust will be 32x1/4=32/4=8”.

The video is good and all but I think I'm struggling that my pattern doesn't look the same as yours huhu. ik that we have different measurements since my bust is 27 and my waist is 26. However, the part where i had to join the line from the waist and the bust is kinda hard for me. My waist line on the left side is higher compared to yours, while the line for the bust seems shorter than the former. Is this still correct or am i mising something I've watched the vid for an hour long but still don't get where I'm going wrong pls help. The time stamp I'm referring ti is at 2:00. Unfortunately, I don't understand where some numbers come from. it would be great if I knew where, for example, the 10" at 5:31 and then the 4" came from. where does this come from? And the first number of 5.5". And then +2" or +1". Why?

5.5" is half of shoulder width measurement. 1" at 1:32 is seam allowance. 1" at 1:48 is for ease. 1" at 2:05 is for seam allowance. 10" at 5:31 is to mark the apex point (shoulder to nipple).
