Drain and take apart your custom liquid water cooling loop computer PC! Here is a video showing how I normally take a custom water cooling loop apart and also drain the distilled water out too. There were many fittings to unplug and I used stop plugs to prevent leakages. Make sure to have a lot of tissue and be patient!

You made this look so easy! I appreciate your step by step instructions for newbies like me. I invested in a monster PC with liquid coolant everywhere. Looks cute lit up but boy o boy to clean it’s terrifying. ❤❤❤😊😊😊😅😅😅

Now that I have done this quite a few times, even with the valve is a looooooong process. I wonder just for the sake of curiosity and experimenting if I can put air with a compressor to push the water away. My only concern lies in the integrity of the components by doing so. Will be interesting that's for sure!

Hey mate, did you ever try to get all the fluid out with air pressure? I saw someone on a forum talking about using a bike pump to basically replace the fluid with air

Im experimenting with watercooling. How does the water flow into your reservoir if you have only one out? Did you use your in as a valve on your pump and reservoir?

For that valve you have in your reservoir... how did you connect it? Did you need any fittings or anything or did you just buy the valve and connect it to the resevoir. Please help me... I am so confused ❤️

I might not ever do a liquid cooled system. but if I were to do it I would more or less do it the same way as you. My question. Is it bad to just simply use air to bleed any remaining water from the system? I do understand the point of refilling the resevior but wasnt sure if the pumps could be use to bleed it w air to force out all or most of the water.

If i dont have a drain valve i could therotically still do the same by just emptying my Res "manually" right ?
@latex1ty287
@latex1ty287 6 жыл бұрын
Yes. Its just more messy usually. Just pick a safe place where you start the draining. If you have flex tubing you have usually better options: You can even start from the cpublock by taking it out of the case and then start to drain

Get those 3 way fittings and put it at the lowest part of your loop. Also if you already have the loop and you did not put a drain valve then good luck Lol

@@ploprod2632 nice here's what it exactly looks like www.amazon.com/Barrow-3-Way-Ball-Fitting-Gold/dp/B0764PGPFK you can use a male to male g1/4 thread and put it in your pump then the bottom thread of it will most likely where you will put the drain valve and on the other hole on the left is where your tube goes in or to the right depending on where you position your pump. But the only thing really important is to put the drain valve at the bottom for convenience

This doss not seem wise for a non pro. I do not have the dexterity to run the pump, fill it, make sure the catch bottle doesn't overflow, and tilt it all at the same time. :)

you can just first rinse everything many times with distilled water, then make a solution of distilled water and citric acid, pour it inside and let it work for 30 minutes to get rid of galvanic corrosion, and then rinse the entire system many times with distilled water to get rid of citric acid, and then already make the final solution using an additive from ekwb together with distilled water and pour it inside, and the whole circuit is like new and did not have to disassemble anything

Can't you just add some air pressure to your loop and open the drain valve? Would seem a lot easier.

Instead of tilting, try use compressed air to push the water out of the tubes. If you dont have an air compressor unit, buy couple of cans of compressed air or use a vacuum cleaner in reverse mode

You don't really need the power supply jumper -- you can just take your ram out of the motherboard instead. And that's a horrible piping setup for draining -- it would be hard to do worse.
