Great thoughts, Steve and thanks a lot -/- Here would like to share my findings today: since groundstroke or serve is the "symphony" of 200+ muscles, who is the conductor of the "Symphony" ? Today, I by chance, found out , it is in-and-out breath: when the ball leaves the opponent ,I start taking breath-in then hold the breath, then at the contact-point, we breathe out -/- This gives me consistency ! -/- what do you think, Steve? Thanks a lot-/-

funnily enough i played a mate who employed this technique today and played the best i have seen him play - generating easy power & very good accuracy - i like to stay on my toes when the ball is live (other than on contact) which naturally gets me into the comfort zone & seems to give me so much more time on a ball or allow me to get to most of my opponents attacking shots

Don’t hold your breath , find a rhythm

@@progressivedemagogue8480 Thanks, for me, breath gives me the rhythm; tried the same for my serve, much , much better than before!

@@progressivedemagogue8480 believe or not, taking breath in while tossing, gives me a better/smooth toss...
@progressivedemagogue84802 жыл бұрын
@@nhonghong I agree with the breathing, that is what the pros do. I also find an in breath on the toss really helpful! I meant never hold your breath, always be going in or out and find rhythm with that.

Hi. Thanks for the kind words. For the last 20 years I have been committed to one simple principal. I will create something new every day. It maybe a small idea, it maybe a big idea. But every day... Something new. So I have a huge library of ideas to draw upon. Glad your enjoying the channel. Do you have any other tennis issues that I could help with? If so let me know www.oneminutetennis.com

Comfort zone as in where you like to strike the ball or comfort zone as in how you approach the challenge of tennis as whole? Pro woman Cirstea attributes her recent spate if winning matches to a more "accepting" attitude through which her joy in playing tennis has returned, for example. Which comfort zone are you talking about, Steve? Perhaps an altogether different zone? Love your instruction!

Getting into your comfort zone is ideal but your opponent has to cooperate. If your opponent does not, you will be stressed into positions where you are not comfortable and will have to improvise. Errors will occur. This depends on your competition level of course. You could only face players of similar or lower abilities and stay in your comfort zone. But if you want to improve your game you must play higher caliber players.
