Do not throw it away! For the artist, diversity in materials is important :))) You can experiment with an underpainting, so different materials can come in handy! Watch this video, please! bit.ly/2HOqY8t I was doing a watercolor underpainting and then was drawing with soft pastels.

Mia! Thank you very much for your attention to the video!😊🎨 I use pastel pencils and soft pastels. I work on sandpaper, granularity 1000. Normal pencils along with soft pastels are not desirable because the pencil is harder and can remove the pastel layer.

I try not to use photos without changes. Always something I change a composition, colors... I can delete something or add to the image.
