The hardest part is getting students to use the ruler to line up to the vanishing points. They resist it and get frustrated. I tell them “it is going to left or right vanishing point and vertical lines are used to cut off the sides.” Then when they have me check their work, somehow they worked in a bunch of horizontal lines and other lines that don’t even line up to the vanishing points.
