love your art and tutorials. i do have a question most of the products listed are very expensive fullset of polychromos are anywhere from 100-400 that other pastel paper is like god awful for 3 sheets . any recommendation for products for beginners. i just bought some pastel paper . i'm an artist but i am trying for realism. i understand the fundamentals . i just bought a regular set of derwent but also pencil sharpeners i have some but not great ones. i just cant afford everything at once.

what paper you recommend as I do not have canson 1557

Basically any white heavy weight paper with a light grain! I'm not sure what papers there are on the market where you live but you should be fine with anything not too smooth and 180gsm or heavier.
