Keeping the pencils sharp? I always learn something new. I used to avoid sharpening because I thought I can control the amount of pressure more easily - though it always looked somewhat out of focus. I reaally want to do some colouring now xd

Do you ever use red to shade dark greens? I've tried that and it looks pretty nice if you're careful to not use too much, because the green and red blends and can look almost black but doesn't get that stark, flat look of real black.

Red is the complimentary colour for green so that makes sense.

What is the difference between colored pencils and polychromatic ones? Do they have a different effect? I can draw the same rose with colored pencils

I noticed you use plate surface paper. I love using the smoothest of smooth paper for graphite, but I’m new to colored pencil and the whole internet is advising that I use something with more tooth! I will definitely do some experiments, but I need to do a mixed graphite and colored pencil commission work, and I’m nervous about changing my paper type. Thoughts?!
