This was a very fun project to complete. I enjoyed it very much. Going to try it with some other colors. Thank you Alaina for yiur hard work making this tutorial and fir all our fantastic brush sets that I have purchased. I own every single set! My favs are the Amazing alcohol ink first set, and version 2. Although the first is similar to AAI, version 2 I use both sets. I am glad I kept them separate. You recommended this when I did the update and I’m glad I did. Use V.2 most however, and your gold rush sets. In fact I use YOUR AAI for my AI projects.

Beautiful! Would love to see you create an opal affect. either the milky type or fire opal. My birthstone. And I've not seen anyone do this out of all the gemstones.

Nice to wake up to a relaxing video to watch while I have my coffee. Bonus: amethyst is my birthstone and purple is my favorite color. I’ll be sure to check out the inspiration for this - it’s quite beautiful.

I love watching your videos. They are so relaxing. I do have a question on is there any special reason you make the canvas so big. Can they be smaller without losing the special effects you are able to accomplish such as maybe 8 x 10 so can print on a printer. Thanks so much.

Hey Sandy, thanks for your question! I mostly do my artwork on big canvases because it's much easier to scale down than it is to scale up - you could change the size to 8x10 from 16x20 for instance without losing quality, but you couldn't go from 8x10 to 16x20. So that's the main reason but the effects and brushes should work great at smaller sizes too, and if you already know exactly what size you'll want to print it, I would suggest making your canvas exactly that size in 300 DPI.

I love your tutorials and you are very talented. But I would like to suggest if you could turn down or redirect your light so that there is less glare on the screen. Its so distracting for me lol.

Thanks so much for your feedback! The glare is a constant battle for me 😩 This one was two years ago and I think that my setup is a bit better now but it can also depend on the time of day and lighting outside etc.
