Thank you for promoting standardization. Not all things in life need a reason, but standardization helps different divisions of the scientific community (be it different departments, institutions or even countries) to work as efficiently as possible and avoid miscommunication.

Great tutorial but, the final example is incorrect. be warned there are exceptions to the diagonal rule, chromium is one of them, its e- configuration is [Ar] 3d⁵ 4s¹, not what is shown at 21:53.
