I have a small rectangle wall in my dinning room that this would look perfect on. I will added the steam but not in a ghost shape. Thank you Michelle you are a great teacher. I learned a few phrases from you "light source" "shadows" and my favorite "so these colors will talk to each other"

Hi AC, Thanks for the compliment on my teaching style. As for scaling my paintings down, if you go with a smaller canvas that is similar in ratio, such as an 8x10, that would be the easiest, as a lot of the time I will indicate 1/2 way, 1/4 way, etc. If that method doesn't work for you, I have an educational video showing how to use the grid method that is available to my Patreon members at the $3 level. you can view a list of all the educational videos here: berkshirepaintandsip.squarespace.com/patreon-videos I hope this helps. Do you put anything on the canvas before you start to paint? Like to prime it?

Hi FoxTrap, no, I buy all my canvases already primed, it's just easier considering how much a paint. You could use a layer of acrylic gesso for added adhesion if you want but's really not necessary for pre-primed canvases. Have fun!
