This was really helpful. As a young artist I’ve been trying to draw clothes and I searched up hundreds of tutorials but none seem to make sense, but this tutorial was amazing! I love how u explain it in such a simple way that almost everyone could understand.

My drawings have improved a lot and in a very short time since I've found your channel not so long ago. I just want to thank you for making these videos! The videos are short and they go straight to the point; you just show us the basics in a very simple way and the rest is just for us to practice and enjoy. It's really, really helpful. Thank you a lot!

It occurred to me that you can think of wrinkles as waves in this sense: they have frequency and amplitude. Naruto's wrinkles are low frequency, high amplitude. Goku's are high frequency, low amplitude. I think stiffness comes into play as well. A stiff material like vinyl is going to have a lower frequency, higher amplitude than cotton, even if they are close to the same thickness. And that armour isn't going to wrinkle no matter how thin the metal is.

No I think noise is better. Wave would talk about one line, there is no way you are gonna do that to each line. Instead noise talks about all the lines present.

This really helped me getting my clothes I draw to look like clothes and not weird lines everywhere. 😀 Thanks for this video.

this video genuinely saved me lol. I haven’t learned how to draw wrinkles in clothes yet and I am currently in a week long drawing class where everyone seems to already know how to do that. I don’t have the confidence to ask anyone for help on that, so thank you so much, you explained this concept in a way that really made sense to me. here’s hoping everything goes at least somewhat well tomorrow when I start drawing clothes for that class.
