I am a student. I want to clear a doubt. After machine setting in UT using v1 or v2 block. Then draw dac curve. At this time should I enter sound velocity of work piece material and thickness value of the work piece?. If the material has to be inspected is aluminium. The at the time of dac curve drawing should I need velocity of sound in aluminium.

Yes u need to use aluminium frequency also u need to do transfer correction as both material is different

Sir what is the value 20.51 in the first drilled hole scanning. I mean value before the skip distance.

Sir, When scanning a weld in 10mm plate using 45degree probe. Range is 125. Machine shows SP=43.5, SD=30.7,D= 30.7. How can I calculate where is deffect??? Sir please help..

You need to put thickness 10 mm then only it will show correct depth
