I have tried the same way. But in this way my illustrator is not making closed shapes by joining lines thats why shapes tool is also not working. Can you tell me how your lines are automatically converted into closed shapes after drawing lines?

You have to select all the lines and triangles drawn, then click the shape builder tool and drag the respective area as shown in the video.
