Tip: Even for straight hair, make sure it has a bit of wave to it. Hair is barely ever pin-straight, it always has a bit of curl.

some extra tips for type 4 hair : -draw kinda like a halo around the head, because of the tightness of its coils it grows outward instead of downwards like type 1, two and three. draw the halo with tight squiggly lines like pypah did for curly hair, just tighter and make the halo stop around the nape of the neck (depending on how full/ long this Afro is you can make it stop a little bit before or after the nape) -FOR GOD’S SAKE DON’T MAKE THE AFRO A DAMN CLOUD - don’t be too uniform with these lines/ don’t make it too repetitive -add stray coils around the Afro (make it coils for 4a, z-shaped for 4b and squiggly/irregular for 4c) -I’m not very sure how draw the roots because I’m still learning myself but I found a tip from Bianna bova and she just draws the squiggles in an outward then upward direction (don’t make it too uniform or too close together) -overall make it similar to the curly hair but tighter and in an Afro. Type 4 hair might look daunting because of it’s complex coils but once you understand and study the hair type you should get a hang of it :D
