Not only do I appreciate the use of the purple and violet colors, which not a lot of colorists use, but taking the time to use pencils rather than markers for the large areas, which provides better continuity in my opinion. I understand why people use them, to save their pencils and avoid hand strain, but it’s still nice to learn how to lay down smooth even color and blend so seamlessly.

@@mimose00 😄Yes, I also have Polys and Arrtx, because the Polys don't perform well on every paper, I think. Prismas are much more expensive than Polys here, at the moment, so I don't have any. (and I can't get them individually anywhere here)

@@Melinda.Hyes, prismacolors are really expensive. I was so sad when I saw all the Primedeals in America while in Germany there were no discounts at all. 😭😂 Do you like the Arrtx pencils? Heard very different things about them so far. 🤔

@@mimose00 Dann lebst du auch in Deutschland? 😂 Ich hab erst vor ein paar Monaten angefangen. Ich hatte die Polys allerdings schon fürs zeichnen. Als ich meine ersten Bücher hatte, habe ich herausgefunden, das sie nicht in allen Büchern so super performen. Dann dachte ich, ok es kann ja nicht schaden ein zweites Set zu haben, so wie die Prismas. Die Preise haben mich umgehauen 😂. Amazon hat sie im Moment gar nicht im 150 set, bzw waren sie 300 Euro. Ebay etc bin ich mir unsicher zu kaufen. Da sind sie aber auch so 250 Euro herum. Was ich heftig finde. So um die 100 bis 150 Euro würde ich ja noch bezahlen, aber mehr nicht. Die Tatsache, das ich keinen Shop gefunden habe, wo ich sie einzeln nachkaufen könnte, hat es dann auch nicht besser gemacht. Nach einer Recherche dachte ich dann, ok.. Chromaflow hat eine 150er Packung, sollen auch wachsbasiert sein, oder die Arrtx. Barbara Colour hat mehrere Videos, in dem sie Luminance, Polys, Arteza, Polys, Arrtx, Chromaflow, ein anderes Derwent vergleicht, in den verschiedenen Preiskategorien, und hat nach dem testen die Arrtx empfohlen. (Als Anfänger, und in der Preisklasse. Sie fand sie besser als die Chromaflow) Sie sahen auch toll aus auf den Bildern, die sie ausgemalt hatte. Die Arrtx sind sicher nicht so weich und buttrig wie die Prismas, funktionieren aber toll in verschiedensten Büchern die ich ausprobiert habe. Sie haben eine schöne Leuchtkraft. Nachteil ist nur, das man sie einzeln auch nicht nachkaufen kann. 😂 Also spare ich jetzt auf die Luminance, bevor ich so teuer Prismas kaufe. Sollte Amazon sie wieder anbieten, überlege ich es mir noch, allerdings hätte ich dann immer noch das Problem mit dem nachkaufen. 😭 Verstehe nicht warum man sie hier nicht bekommt. Das ist alles eine Wissenschaft für sich, wie ich herausgefunden habe, als Neuling 😂 Ich kann mir aber durchaus vorstellen, wenn man die Prismas gewöhnt war bzw kennt, das einem die Arrtx oder Chromaflow dann gar nicht gefallen.

Ah eine Leidensgenossin. 😂 Ja, sie sind echt teuer, aber auch wirklich sehr farbkräftig und leicht zu verblenden. Ich habe mir bei Amazon damals das größte Set gekauft, dass es gab und kaufe die einzelnen bei eBay. Aber vllt sollte ich doch mal die Arrtx ausprobieren. Die Prismas verbrauchen sich nämlich echt zu schnell für den Preis. 😮
