No joke been drawing for years, and avoided perspective like a disease, Yes my works had suffered as a result, sure..but just never understood it and was frankly intimidating to try to learn. Thanks! Very good explanation. You propably know this allready but here is a bit of extra knowledge for drawing cubes. The one point perspective cube is actually not a cube at all. It is impossible to see three different sides (top/bottom, front and side) of a cube at the same time while the front is a perfect square. When you rotate a cube to reveal a second and especially the third side, the front square must twist from "the perfect square perspective". Otherways it is not an actual cube with all corners alike. You can test this if you have a physical cube that you can turn with your hands. Put the front side of the cube on a line that will stay horizontal with you, in a way so you can see the front and top of the cube. And your horizontal line with the cubes front parallel with the line. Then turn the cube to reveal another side from left or right. And you see that you have to turn the cube away from the line. The line is horizontal to you but the cube is not and the perspective can not show a perfect square to you anymore. The two point perspective fixes this problem when drawing a cube that is supposed to stay as a cube when turned to different position.

Oh man, I always liked drawing and sometimes I get back to it and spend a little time with it and still it's enjoyable but that's it. I wouldn't do it frequently. After seeing your videos and stuff I tell myself maybe if I get a pen tablet I would do it more. Because there wouldn't be the problem of having pencils and brushes and papers. It's you and your laptop and the pen tablet. You would do it more often than you do it now. With traditional drawing I would just do that but no painting. And I love to do paintings. I tried some before and the result wasn't too bad. But the effort is much more when doing a traditional painting. I hope digital art nullifies those problems. I wouldn't be a problem if it creates new ones though :) 🤞
