This has been helpful for doing my portrait for my school project that I’ve been working on, thank you. ❤

I am going to go through my magazines and paste a piece of a face or skin and then try to copy that in pencils. Thank you for this video !!! Very helpful.

Oh, that ginger root! Best thing in the Prismacolor box, next to the black grape and black cherry. Incredibly useful, when nothing else seems to quite fill the need.

Thanks so much!!! This was really helpful!! I always struggle with skin tone and I think coloring lightly is a struggle for me but you have some really good tips!!

Love the tips though the skin colors on the portraits you've shown look grayish and pale, like the lack warmth. Might be due to the camera?

People portraits take so long to get looking right, lol I will just stick to animals, can be a bit off on the resemblance and its all right. Do that with a person and they don't look just right 😝

I know what you mean! After ruining a few pieces I decided to practice on small parts of coloring pages or even on blank paper. I find if I start small, like thumbnail size, I don't spend too much time on color mixes that fail. And if it looks good I'll note down the colors I used, etc.
