My swage block came in handy making the heart bowls over the weekend!

I need to get a swage block like that one. I have monkeyed around with making depressions in wood but that is short lived when you are hammering glowing hot steel into it.

Love these blocks. best investment for the shop. They pay for themselves quickly.

Thanks for the info on how to dress the block. Would've liked to see you do all the methods on how to dress it. File, die grind etc... Thank you again!!

Roy I’m impressed on how far you’ve worn down that wire (cup) wheel. Hahaha I have to check some of mine but you may have me beat. I like that electric die grinder you have. I don’t have an air compressor in my shop I might have to check one of those out. ✌️

They look like nice wee swage blocks. Will be a while before I can get myself a block, so I just informed the girlfriend that she's going to be learning to strike with a sledge someday soon so I can forge some hardie swages to do me in the meantime! hehe :D

I don’t own a Holland swage block “yet” but after seeing your videos I checked them out. I like the 100lbs swage but the shape is much different (long rectangle) from a traditional swage block. Any insight?

I have swage-envy! Lol. Any place to get the slotted style, and is it worth the search? Thanks Roy! ⚒️♥️👍🌹😀

@@hannemannironworks1651 sadly, no. I never got my behind in gear, and bought one. Maybe someday, I'll get one. But, I don't really need it at the moment.

Just got a mini pneumatic sander at HF because I only need it for chamfering my hardie and pritchel holes. No shame in it.

Thanks again for the info Roy,l been wanting to make a swage block for a while, the only thing stopping me is I need to get my 1940s Cinsanady mill running. It is 3 phase and I am to cheap to buy a phase converter or another motor.

Why would you complain that a tutorial about dressing a swedge block is boring? You're the one who clicked on the video, after all. TikTok is a better place for people who have a 10 second attention span and the intellect of a child.
