Growing up in New England = Cape Cod and Newport the coastal style was what most of us wore from tiny tots on up through adulthood.... IE Jackie Kennedy slacks, espadrils and big sunglasses. DIvine.

I practically live in knit dresses like the green one you show. I wore a long-sleeve navy one today as our first rain of the season arrived with cooler temperatures, but by the weekend it will be back to 90F and I’ll be wearing my sleeveless linen knit ones (H&M). Summer dies hard here in California, we can’t count on daily cool weather until mid-November. By this time of the year, we are all sick of the heat.

Good afternoon Deirdre! At the beginning, I noticed something different about you! I thought your maybe it was your makeup which is beautiful! Since you mentioned your hair color, I guess it’s the combination of the two. I do like the new color! It’s rich looking! Now, I’ve always loved white and khaki together, very classic! I have a Breton top I got at Joe Fresh. It is good quality and has not stretched or shrunk in 5 years. I have two others which were more expensive but my little top holds its own! Beige trousers can be found. I have seen that belt but am not sure of the size. Those blue pants are pretty! And the green dress is nice too. Good time to buy sandals! Lots,of sales! Hair looks nice. Princess Sybbie is sleeping on the back of the sofa! I turned the heat on today. Getting cooler. We are watching Jackson Galaxy, Cat Guru!

H&M has nice affordable linen items and some cashmere, and Lily Silk and Quince have good, fairly affordable cashmere (Quince is also great for affordable silk items, too).

Dee, this look is so ME! My husband and I have owned boats and lived this look since we married in 1990. He was raised in a family of anglers, and the first thing we did after getting married was buy a boat...from his brother! I love dressing in this style, and you've inspired me to get in my closet and pull out a lot of old favorites! Plus, shopping at thrift stores can also provide lots of options for this style.

Thanks for these budget CG looks. They look as good as the higher priced ones. My favorite is the dress. This time of year I'd wear it with my white jean jacket, sleeves cuffed up. Maybe even a short shawl of a similar color. Your hair always looks so pretty and feminine on camera and the looser wave becomes you.

Hi Deirdre, you look amazing and glamorous as always and I would love some tips to see a video that shares more on Apple shapes because I find my shape it’s very very awkward to even feel all look good… i’m 56 and I have quite a bit of a tummy starting underneath my boobs downwards.. I would also love to watch a video on 10 best treatments that every woman over 50 should have some maybe some kind of beauty regime like massages or Botox or how you can get those done on a budget and how you can look really good even if you can only afford maybe one or two treatments per month it would be really nice to know how you can look and feel good in your face and body with treatments and possibly diet as well that would be really good xxx you look amazing keep up the good work and I love the hair!

Your new opening shots of you in the white shirt and tan slacks are stunning! I love this look not only on you but it’s one of my personal favorites. The problem I have with the full cut pants is I’m only 5’2” and I think they would overwhelm me. Also I can’t wear flat shoes at my age shoes must have a 1 1/2” heel (or 2” no higher) and have a bit more support. I really appreciate how you’ve managed to keep the costs down for us! I LOVE hair this color is so becoming on you! Length is perfect too. Besides all that you’re looking well and fit which is most important. Hurray for your million views you work hard to achieve that🎉

I understand about your full cut pants issue if you are on the shorter side A really good tip is to balance the fullness of the trousers by wearing a more fitted top or a jacket which gives structure to the silhouette. Also, a fuller trouser doesn't have to be REALLY wide. It can just be slightly fuller than straight, if you get what I mean!! XX
