My favorite thing of Audrey’s fashion is the black turtleneck and black pants and black loafers

I wish people would make effort to dress like they did in 1950’s-60’s, my mother was wearing hats, gloves, lovely bags, pointed toe shoes 👍

Agreed! I don't always dress that way, but I love to sprinkle some elements from the 50s and 60s into my everyday wardrobe. It definitely makes it more fun.

Love Audrey of course but that purple dress and coat beyond STUNNING 🤩 on you. My fav looks for Ms Hepburn were from the movie Charade. Sheer elegance. Makeup on point!………….🤗🇨🇦

this is a great little video. I love learning what Audrea Hepburn wore in the 50s. I noticed you did not include Sabrina's wardrobe but it isn't missed. I think you are showing how comfortable Audrea Hepburn looked in her wardrobe. Instead of tight cloths she wore lose breezy styles which made her look fresh and happy. While she made that dress in Breakfast at Tiffany's iconic it did not look comfortable. The long skirt makes women look fresh and approachable while the tight miniskirt looks intimidating. It also makes women look mean and uncomfortable. The shorts she wore remind me of Lana Turner in The Postman Always Rings Twice. Thanks for your hard work in putting together the video. I wish you success. Might you do a men's 50s style video? There is a short sleeve sweater men wore in the fifties I do not know the name of.

If you want to see how Audrey Hepburn dressed back in the early 50's, then go see 'The Archies'. The girls are all dressed in balloon skirts with layered petticoats, flat Rock'N Roll shoes, plus fringes and all the lovely stuff of the 50's. The Archies is certainly a walk down memory lane about the life of the Anglo-Indian community, who were full of life and trendsetters of fashion.

Very hot humid weather Audrey Hepburn capsule wardrobe... is it possible to recreate?
@CaitlinTheCurious3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I'd recommend searching vintage and secondhand shops for natural materials like cotton and linen to keep you cool this summer. You'll still be able to find Audrey silhouettes in those fabrics :)

Where is Auburn Vintage located? The web site is not active. I adore all your skirts. I really live that green suit. You're so lucky to have that. I like that lilac dress and then I liked it more with the coat and shoes. Very awesome. Did you know that Breakfast at Tiffany's was actually written for Marilyn Monroe? She couldn't accept the part because she was on contract with someone else. Audrey was not their first choice and almost didn't get the part. However she fooled everyone and did an amazing job (and probably better than Marilyn would have). And this was the movie that Audrey is remembered for.

Auburn is now primarily online through Instagram (@auburn_vintage_clothiers) with local pick up in Kitchener, ON. I can't imagine Breakfast at Tiffanys without Audrey! It just wouldn't be the same. Thanks for watching!
