Great video! I’m working on a home network plan with Starlink. Good points to consider. I’ll be adjusting my plans immediately. Thanks!

No service loop?

Hello and thanks for comment. Keen eye. No, a service loop was not demonstrated here. The focus of the video was to demonstrate the dressing process but it was as oversight as a service loop would normally be included. At some point a revised video will be posted that includes the service loop.

The service loop would go behind the plywood

Don't use sharpie on the permanent label. Right before you cut is a good time to apply 606 compliant labels

Hello Nolan and thanks for pointing that out. That is good advice. Following ALL of the ANSI/TIA standards is a good idea, including ANSI/TIA 606-C.

That fast-forward video effect that simulates a VCR was amusing the first time, and annoying after that.

You could start at the top, bottom, or middle. Just make a list.

@@rb8049 Indeed! Make a list and check it twice :>). In all seriousness, if you cannot put a label on the panel itself, then a label on the permanent cable and then on the patch cord used to patch into your switch will suffice.

Try dressing 50 ft like a MDF closet 😂

That does not sound like fun, but it sounds like an interesting challenge. What installation called for 50ft of service slack in the ER/TR (the standard does not call them MDF/IDFs anymore)?
