I think it is actually kinda easy to dribble like messi. In my last soccer match I dribbled past 5 defenders and scored a goal. A few shoulder drops and some basic ball control drills did the work for me.

This is a natural thing, Messi's mind and body is in sync perfectly with tributes like correct decision making, body strength, vision, anticipation, instinct pace and speed. If this could be taught then, we would see 1000s of Messies just by watch this video.

Romans 8:38-39 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. 💗

It partly depends on body shape. His style fits his shape. He is short and low to ground. Ronaldo is tall and therefore has a different style. A lot of step overs and also great with his head since he can jump high.

The one question posed here is 'How' he does it, but another, and pretty much equally important question is, I think: 'What ENABLES him' to dribble like this? A big chunk of it, I've started to notice, is his stretching routines. The man stretches for one to one and a half hour every day, more or less. His movements are so explosive and jarring you couldn't possibly hope to sustain this kind of physical prowess very long without some serious stretching to go along with it. Perhaps it's just the placebo effect, but for about a year now I've been stretching pretty thoroughly after every training session, be it in the gym or after training/playing, and I try to get properly warm and stretch the essentials for about half the time I normally use after training for BEFORE I start practice/a game. The results are undeniable for me. You start to feel so much more comfortable doing these kinds of turns and jolts, because you can feel the muscles you're engaging or are about to engage have already been sufficiently engaged and loosened earlier, making you much less stiff and liable to screw it up. Still, try as you might.. there's only so far you can get when comparing yourself to Messi, lol... He plays the game at 50% speed.. you just can't beat that.

I am watching a lot of videos about how to improve soccer skills bcs I happend to be as a soccer coach but never played soccer before (did another sportart). I left that post bcs I felt incompetent. Since then I try to educate myself so every morning while having my breakfast I am looking at similar video like this. I usually don't comment on them but this one I found really helpful. I mean a appreciate all the videos I've seen so far bcs it helped me to understand things I see in this one but I particularly love this direct link between the game (skills) of Messi and daily practice one can use. My time watching this passed really quickly and it's the sign that the content is really interesting :). Keep on going :)

Very good video. Only one small mistake... Messi keeps his head down more than up. It's a big thing in sports such as soccer (futbol) and ice hockey. In order to have speed and quickness, you Must keep your head down, but you have to put it up often too. If you look closely, Messi uses a pause when looks up. He immediately puts his head back down, commits his recently acquired positional knowledge to short term memory and utilizes his peripheral vision to track the players on the field.
@TheDukeOfCastleWolf3 ай бұрын
I know it's natural but for me, it works. In a 11 a side football, I play like Xavi, Zidane or Kroos. But when I move to a small side field (like 5 a side or 7), I tend to play like Messi. Been doing that since I was 23 ,(Messi and I are from the same year, 1987. I'm 1.70mts, my legs are short too. And we had the same hormonal problem😅 but mine was a bit different) So it works for me.
