Cool video. I've been getting into carving as a thing to do in my time off. But I got distracted by something dropping your hair from directly up to down at 36-38 seconds in then shortly after a fast orb fly by your side.

I have a tiny pointed moldavite piece that I’d like to turn into a pendant. What would I use for….is it a cap? Is that the bale you were talking about? I don’t want to wire wrap it because it’s so small. I just want to put a cap on it. Any suggestions? I don’t know for what I should be looking. I guess I’ll drill the tiniest hole in the top. Or maybe just E6000 something on it.

When u take a break and go back into the hole have the tool off. This way it won't scratch the stone.

It is both too cool the bead/stone to prevent the heat from the friction cracking it. It’s also a lubricant.

This seems really dangerous and not at all how it should be done. Or is it just me?
@theforest34844 жыл бұрын
It's quite easy to slightly hurt yourself but not easy to do any real lasting harm. A normal drill (like you'd use for wood) works more like a motorised blade, which is very dangerous, but these kind of diamond drill bits are like sandpaper that moves really really fast to wear through hard stone. it doesn't cut well on human flesh. The real risk is bits of stone breaking and flying into your eye, which is why you should wear goggles. If you want a safer option, use a vice to hold the stone and a bench drill.
