I saw a program where a lady said it took her FOUR hours to get to work. But she seemed very happy to be driving. I think it must be a huge status symbol for them. Wow, didn’t know how involved it was getting license. You would have to be pretty well off. They are also going to have extreme pollution problems.

It gets busy during peak hours😁 It seems like EVs are so successful here, partially because getting a number plate is so much easier.

@@China_UNCUT yes, hopefully they can transition sooner than later to all EV. I was shocked to see the true severity of pollution during the Olympics in China. I see why people, besides Covid, wear masks all the time.

It's a lot easier if you're already holding a driver's license from your own country. Then, you only need to pass a written exam available in English ☺

So good not to have any road rage. I wish the western drivers were more forgiving - my hubby’s drivers window got smashed last week by an angry driver because he said my hubby was too close (and we are in nice little New Zealand lol.) also when hubby went to report it to the police the police told him that they just had a report that another driver just smash the front window of another driver’s car.

Wish my country could implement such strict rules for drivers. Too many people here have licenses and in all honesty have no business owning a driver's license. If the drivers theories and on road tests could be on the same level of aptitude as pilot's licenses a lot more people would be alive today.

Can I drive in China with my international driving license?

China does not recognize international driving license or other countries driver's licenses. To drive in China you need a Chinese driving license, but getting it is easier if you already have an International driving license.
