I like how the flowers kept their vibrant colors. Most dried flower techniques make the flowers dull or even faded. These are the best DIY flowers I’ve seen! Great job!

Did you use felt ? I read it’s not microwave safe .. I want to try this technique just curious
@snehamajumdar9019 Жыл бұрын
@@Autiray I have tried it and it has worked for me Just keep a tissue paper and then parchment paper folded in flowers and again a tissue paper over a glassware or anything safe to use in a microwave Do it for a few seconds first, I did mine for 30 seconds then wait then again 30 seconds , it might seem wet at first but after the second 30 seconds it will be dried and colours would be preserved

Um question. Will felt and cotton not catch fire in a microwave. I'm not bashing just... concerned about fire.
@abigailphoenixthepaperaddi25013 жыл бұрын
Not likely at 30 second intervals. The steam from the water leaving the flowers gets pulled away from the flowers by the cotton (which is why cotton is best to wear on hot, humid days!), and the felt, which, IIRC is made of wool, pulls it further out, so it doesn't touch the flower itself. This bit of moisture (which you likely wouldn't notice is there unless you did many, MANY batches, one after the other!) helps protect the felt & cotton. Don't use anything "blended", don't use silk (even though it's natural, it doesn't pull moisture away - its great to wear in winter to preserve body heat), but definitely avoid things like nylon, polyester, etc. If in doubt on your felt, try to find a fabric store & ask for wool felt. Btw... can you tell me what setting she used? High or low? I have hearing problems & listened to that part a dozen times and I can't hear it =/
