How to dump and edit nintendo switch save files (modded switches only)

I'll definitely have to do this for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond. I got the Shaymin event back then, but I missed the Darkrai event by like a week, so when I hack my Switch, this video will be helpful to show how I can edit my save and still get the event item. So thank you! It's certainly a lot like Checkpoint on 3ds, which I mainly used to backup/transfer saves between my digital and physical copies of games.

Good video but would be better if you could explain how to locate the jksv once you connect either your sd card or your Nintendo switch cfw to the pc. Because when you connect your Nintendo switch and go to switch there is loads off folders. Personal just makes it easy for people to understand that are quite new

I have just finished putting CFW on my switch. In the end of the guide it said "Your emuMMC (emuNAND) should never connect to Nintendo. For online play, eShop browsing, or any other Nintendo online activity, use your sysNAND. Using both emuMMC and sysNAND online will likely result in a ban." What does this even mean? I can't use the CFW online at all?

Yeah that also will probably result in a ban, and yes when I homebrewed my switch I did it on the sysnand cuz I didn't know what I was doing, never be me guys lol

@ninmods402 so the only way you should connect to the Internet on emuNAND is for hb apps and hbappstore? Tbf the only reason I play any nintendo product or hack at all is for pokemon. So to be safe I only use emuNAND when I'm hacking a game, then I switch back to sysNAND. I also have to manually connect to the Internet any time I need it.

Here's situation: Long ago, I had a stacked ass Fortnite account with a lot of rare skins and stuff, however it was lost because I don't know the password to it, and the Nintendo account linked to it was deactivated. If I were to rip the save from my original account, and put it on another account I have already that works on my switch, would I be able to play on it once again as well as go online with it?

Search the Internet, then put the save in the correct directory where you backup your save, then restore that save with checkpoint, happy modding!
