Unfortunately for the glitch to work you need to be playing as the character first. The person who is playing that character has to do the glitch in order for you to then play as that same character.

Yep! The steps are all the same as long as you can do it within that millisecond window on the double 0

Unfortunately because it's PC you can't preselect the character by preemptively hovering over it during the respawn so you'd have to switch characters quickly at the double zero. I reccomend memorizing which character is where one the screen and hover over it with your mouse as you go to change characters so you can do the swap quickly. The way the glitch works is you're tricking the game into thinking you're still playing as the character that you died as while you're actually playing as someone else

You hit respawn and then you tap A or X and then as fast as you can choose your hero and it will spawn you as the same hero as before but people will have to choose that one

The game hasn't been updated in years. You have to make sure you get the timing perfectly. Remember, you're tricking the game into thinking you are still on the hero you died as
