How to duplicate Souls and Materials in Dark Souls Remastered (Console)

This still works August 26, 2024. I have done twice now with the same 1,015 pikes and caestus. This is EXACTLY what I had to do to make it work flawlessly on Xbox: Drop the Caestus Drop 29 Pikes Transfer the remaining pikes into the bottomless box (you can do this rapidly by holding down RB until you hear it goes fast, then hold down on D-Pad until they're all transfered) Pick up the Caestus: It gave me ~4,900 of them Go to Andre, select Caestus, select Cancel Ensure item you want to duplicate is the first item on given page Go to brightness and hit RB + A at about the same time until pages overlap I looked at the page behind the brightness screen and moved over to my desired item for duping Hit A, scroll to Defaults and hit A For me it asked me if I wanted to drop -4,900, do it. Pick up item and voila. Thanks for the video man! I'm just sharing this comment in hopes it helps someone and bring further clarity, it took a little trial and error for me. cheers

I'm sure you've seen it but I much prefer the parry riposte homeward start cancel, but this can only be done once you have access to Frampt. It is more limited that this method (I think), but you can get 99 copies of at least everything in the first and second menus, ie, items and then all materials. The one thing that I can't work out a way to do on switch is to buy multiple copies of a spell from vendor. Any chance you know a way of doing that? Supposedly the same trick works with vendors as per Frampt, but I've never gotten anything outside of confirm to buy the spell. All my testing was at Firelink as there's 3 enemies that you can get to come down individually and then parry before walking to Frampt or the 2 vendors there. Good video mate.

I don’t recall if that’s the one I used but I know for certain I was duping boss souls on the switch a few years ago and they definitely didn’t patch it. The switch actually has a lot more glitches unique only to that port because it’s stuck at 30fps

Hey man im on ps5 and can’t get it to work. I have 1015 pikes. First drop the caestus. Then drop 20 pikes. Then try to pick up the caestus but it still won’t let it pick me up.. i have to drop stuff till i have inventory space again and then can pick up 1 caestus. What am I doing wrong?

If you can't pick it up just drop ot transfer more pikes and that should do it. Drop or transfer 50 or 100 and you shouldn't have a problem then.

Hey man, i bought the 600 giant armor, dropped around 15-20 which would let me pick up the caestus, my number was around 537 but heres the issue When i did the screen overlap glitch idk what i did wrong but it asked if i wanted to reset brightness to default or to move the item. Any idea where i fucked up? Sorry i wrote a novel haha As always though i appreciate you spending time and making this video

It might be as simple as when you went to the quit game option you went up to select it to save a little time instead of going down to select it. I don't know why it won't work if you go up instead of down but it just wont.won't. Hope this helped if not please let me know.

​@@juneseiwhen it comes to the white souls, you don't keep 999 souls, you're just using 999 souls. There's a way to dupe boss souls to get 999 in the inventory though, I'm having a rough time doing that glitch though

If u fail the first attempt then u can never do the glitch again because it bugs out after the failed attempt

If are trying to duplicate materials you want what you are trying to duplicate to be in the first slot. But if you are trying to duplicate souls you want the souls that you are trying to duplicate to be in the second slot.

Pretty sure you have to buy one at a time. I know it sucks but the dups are worth it.

are there any side effects after doing this? I have duplicated in my first playthrough and after finishing the game I returned to the new game plus, but how come the boss damage is almost 10 times more painful than the first playthrough

It shouldn't have any side effects some games base the ng+ difficulty off of how the player finished the previous game.

When I do X Down Right X on my Swith ( using sony layout for the description only ) it says do you want reset to default :(

The main problem a lot of people are running into is when they go to the quit screen they go up to select quit game to save a little bit of time. However in order for the glitch to work you need to go down to select quit game. I don't know why it matters but it does. Hopefully that fixes your problem.

I guess I don't know what to tell you besides before you are able to quit to the main screen it asks if you want to instead of showing the number counter thing so just make sure you don't hit yes to wanting to quit and just restart the steps from the beginning. I believe that you'll eventually get it.

No you are going to have to redo the whole process everytime you want to dupe something.

No it's R1 and X and it might help if you try to hit X just a little bit before you hit R1. Just keep at it and I'm sure you'll get it.
