I haven’t tried them. Do they work well? I don’t think I’ll be dyeing with edible materials as I’m interested in using things that would end up in the rubbish.

I guess the kind of black bean and mordent you use does matter for color. I love your colors. I used a bag of black beans from the Dollar Tree and used an iron mordent. When I took the cotton material out of the dye bath, it was a denim blue. After drying, it was a blue grey to grey color. I'll have to try adding vinegar next time to see what color I get. Thanks

@@mljezierski yes, I think the mordant would’ve had a huge effect on the colour you got. Iron mordant gives a more grey colour. I used alum in this video. I have a video coming up showing the colour shift after an iron bath and it’s a stunning difference. Thanks for watching.
