I discovered that if you hold shift while you’re moving letters left/right, they will stay aligned with the other letters (vertically)

Quick Question: when I follow your directions (which are very easy to follow), I get the shape in design space. So I went into font book command-c the glyph I want and then command-v into design space and a shape appears. However, the shape does not turn into the glyph. Is there another way to do this since design space what updated? Thanks in advance for your help.

I purchased the Samantha Script font for my PC. Love it! Works great in Word! However, I can’t get it to work in Design Space. When I highlight the letter and try to right click on it, nothing happens. No window opens up at all. I have tried reopening, restarting computer, other letters. I just can’t get Design Space to work for me! Hate it! Any ideas how to make it work Ike it does for you?

shelby nelson Cricut design space changed something when they switched to desktop only so you can’t right click anymore. If you highlight the letter then click command V it should work that way!

@@izzyt.7980 Locate the ttf file in your downloads and double-click on it. A dialog box should open that asks you to install font. Make sure DS is not open. When you re-open DS, the font is visible in your font list. How much was the Samantha Upright font?

Hi! Thank you so much! It should automatically go to your downloads in your finder folder. It'll look like a zip file and usually you have to double click on the zip file then a blue folder will pop up. When you go into the folder you'll double click on the font and select install font. Hopefully that helps!

Kayla, WOW! Thanks for this video. I hope you're still checking comments. My MAC has upgraded to Sonoma 14.0 My fontbook does not show an "User" option. Instead it says "My Fonts". Regardless, I downloaded Samantha. It comes up in Cricut Design space but does not show in fontbook anywhere. I've checked every tab and it's not there. Any ideas anyone??

I have had problems with that with some fonts. I'm still trying to figure out why that's happening. You could try uninstalling the font and installing it again on the computer. I'm not sure if it's something wrong with the font or with Design Space. It only happens with a couple of my fonts but the rest works fine. I'll let you know if I figure it out!

Cassidy my guess is in the upper left hand corner there’s a few tab, you need to click over to the second tab then you should be able to see all the letters. I hope that helps!

I have a MAC. When I double-click the box of my word, it doesn't make the tiny box. And if I try to add the flourish ("s" followed by swash), to the end of my "real" text box word, it puts a character there that looks like a sideways envelope. I can't get the tiny box, to tell it to add the swash! My MacBook Air is version 10.14.6. Please help! Or ANYBODY help! I'm trying to make a wedding card for 2 days from now. Hello, I am an avid cricuter and i just wanted to let you know the options available for iPad vs something you can make on a PC are TOTALLY different. My mother in law and i cricut with each other over video chat (she has an ipad, i have a pc) and when i try to explain to her how to do certain things she just doesnt have the option to. Just wanted to let you know that as a heads up. Apple doesnt allow you to access files inside their equipment as easy as on a PC or Android device so you may want to see if you need to download certain file managers to access things. Mrs. Mariela Gomez I’ll keep looking for a way! :) I’ve had a windows computer for a really long time and just recently got a MacBook, even though I really like it, I would probably recommend some type of windows computer just because of the huge price difference. You definitely don’t need a MacBook to use with the Cricut maker, a windows computer would be able to do everything also. I hope that helps!

@@lynnwalker8267 Sorry I'm just now responding! 17 dollar does seem expensive but it has SO many glyphs and extra characters and I think you can use it for commercial use if you sell any of your crafts. LOL! I hope you like it!!! I love using it around Christmas time especially for signs.
