Went to sleep and woke up into the middle of the night and decided to try it and beat him. I've done that so many times with this game. Give yourself a break in a rest

Haha, same happened to me when I fought demon of hatred. He killed me about 50 times. I took a break, went to bed. Woke up early with feeling today is the day I kill him and it took me 3attempts to defeat him.

yeah this is why I did him second and not first. The inner Isshun fight is barely different than the original fight imo, but Genichiro on the other hand. Easy first time through, but in the gauntlet there's an aggression to him.

With lady butterfly around 80% of the time if your next to the statue she'll hop right next to you at the base of the statue on her second stage I've found if you pop a ako sugar and charge empowered mortal blade about a second after her health bar appears she'll hop into it and she'll be open to another charged hit, after the second hit she will hop back to summon her illusions you can dash to her and do another 2 charged hits even if she jumps on a rope it'll hit her as long as you got emblems then another 1-2 mortal blade combos and her posture will break and you can death blow her. (I know the games 2-3 years old but just something for some people who just wanna annihilate lady butterfly)

by the time you get to all the gauntlets, everyone has enough skill to kill lady butterfly the normal way, without having to do that sliding strat. It's amazing how this game makes you improve.

To get Genichiro good for his Sakura Dance you can deflect the first two swings and then run under his third one. You'll then be at his back where you can get two good strikes in. It takes a little practice but once you get it down it really makes him easier and faster to kill. You can do this on his very first Sakura Dance attack which is his first move every time. Watch your posture!

I didn’t know you could rest in the gauntlet, I thought you seriously had to beat all of them straight with no gourd refresh. This looks a lot more doable now, all you have to do is beat them without fully dying. Still challenging of course but I thought it was gonna be a nightmare 10 gourds and that’s it.

You don't have to use the fireworks at the beginning to stop him,I've been using the fistful of ash to save on the spirit emblems cause I like using the immortal blade to build up posture damage on him faster.

For inner genichiro I recommend block, block, dodge forward. It’s more reliable for me to land the perfect parries and you can land two hits after you dodge In.

that method is indeed better for avoiding some of the hardships that come with the last delayed strike. I just got so used to deflecting its hard for me to change. Even when I played DS I struggled with dodging for a long time.

The better way to Deal with Sakura Dance is to Dodge forward after the first 2 blocks. Great Window for Healing, Ichimonji or when you ate a Riseball or Kaki in an earlyer Window: Mortal Blade. Do not be afraid of rare Items, they'll be given back to you when it's over.

Genichiro is dangerous in this one because unlike Ishinn he never stops chasing you and when he's not running at you he'll shoot with his bow when you refill health. Now he's got this long range attack and I figured either stun him before he opens up the attack or perfect your timing with deflects or dodge. But the difficulty of this boss fight is'nt my problem rather its the other 2 bosses you have to defeat in order to reach the genichiro boss battle and that just tires me out.

Just beat Isshin on my third day of attempts and was like "ok, I'll just do Divine Heir Gauntlet real quick before I start NG+. It's just Gyobu, Butterfly and Genichiro, how hard can it be?" *Proceed to die ten times to Inner Genichiro without even reaching phase 3* Seriously. Reaching phase 4 on Isshin took fewer tries than that.

I’m telling you just dodge to the left and attack. Dodge to the right, attack. Make sure that it’s the sweeping attack tho when sekiro dodges and attacks shortly after. If you do it right you can just chain her getting hit by that same attack over and over and over again. Hope this helps :)

@@xtakuanx I play charmless, demon bell and base vitality. If I get hit even once I die. I usually spam attack her and wait for her to do the kick attack. Just a sense of learning the pattern. Definitely looking forward to fighting inner genichiro though. I did the shura gauntlet and inner owl was fucking amazing to fight so hopefully genichiro will live up to that inner boss hype too. Also nice channel seeing sekiro content creators isn't the most common so I'm subbing.

@@xtakuanx fighting him rn and gotta say it's a nice fight. It's quite similar to the original. For me main annoyance is him backing up to shoot his bow more which can make you lose his rythm real easily. I found sakura dance not to difficult to deflect perfectly either. Mostly the bow is the main thing causing the trouble for me. Edit: I've beaten him now in a reflection just need to do it in a gauntlet. He isn't too bad and if you are aggressive he rarely pulls out his special moves. Also mist raven is great for lighting reversal because he doesn't reverse it back when you use it.

I staggered the way I said the third “block.” But if you’re having that much trouble, block the first two swings and then dodge under the third one. You should be good to go with that strat because you also have time to get hits in.

Fighting Lady B, do you have your left thumbstick in a certain position? Looking at the thumbstick as a clock, would hold the stick at, say, 11 o'clock? On Shura Ending, I can defeat Lady Emma without getting hit by dodging to the, "11 o'clock position," after she swings her blade. I bought Sekiro the year it came out and am only on Playthrough #2, as I write this.😂

They just throw in that attack that goes in a circle around him that he does like 1 or two times throughout the entire fight and then move that he does with the spear in the second and third phase which countering is super easy because of how forgiving the mikiri counter is. Inner Geni whooped my ass a few times before I figured him out. Not to mention his new attack has to either perfectly parried or dodged at the perfect time.

@@xtakuanx well ur not wrong the only difference with inner ishinn is you can’t be too aggressive or he’ll do a quick sweep and the new jump thrust/slash. Inner geni and inner ishinn took me quite a few tries but by the time I beat both those gauntlets I was able to beat inner father first try. I’ve (sort of) mastered the game and am currently working on a no death run.

You might be charmless, and that means that if you don't parry the attack (not blocking at the right time) you will take damage. Try timing it better.

You have to perfectly deflect that attack. If you only block, it still damages you. But if you perfectly deflect it he will not damage you. Is it designed to hurt you if you do not do it perfect. It's what makes inner g so tough with this new DLC. Once you get to him though you can fight him time and time again till you learn it through reflections. My problem was fighting him one way for so long and then it seems like they sped him up just a little bit and gave him that new move. Fight him several times and you'll eventually get it

Why am I watching this when I already beat this gauntlet on charmless demon bell Edit: if you're reading this and you're struggling with the divine gauntlet (and you're not doing charmless demon bell), here are a few tips: Gyoubo: you don't need to parry his attacks. He will never break your posture. Lady butterfly: use any of the spinning shuriken and throw it spinning whenever lady butterfly jumps on a suspended wire. The shuriken will hit her multiple times and she'll never be able to get away from you and she'll never be able to summon her ghosts.
