You should try a paddle brush with holes on the back, while you’re blow drying your hair. A “vented” paddle brush. It’ll allow air to flow through the brush and cut down a bit on dry time, also. You have beautiful hair! Love your videos!

Hi! My hair is definetly not as thick as yours, but it is super long and wavy. So something that helps me dry my hair faster is breaking is down into sections. I do six. I just clip it up and pull down sections from side to side as needed. It might seem like more work, but when you dry by sections, those smaller sections dry faster so you don't have to go back through after you cool shot for those spots you thought were dry😬. It also helps with frizz bc for me its less time I have to apply heat. Try it out, maybe it'll be helpful! 😊LOVE your channel!

I have yet to see a dyson video that has really impressed me. Seems like the focus of the blow dryer is how fast it is and not the results. As someone who doesn’t blow dry my hair every day speed isn’t really that important to me but I can definitely understand why it would be for others. My ceramic blow dryer leaves my hair super shiny and smooth, that’s the kind of results I would want from a $400 blow dryer.

10 minutes!!!! God I would love that!! It takes me at least 30 and it's still not fully dry underneath near my scalp. I hate hair days because it drying time!! I wish I had $500 to throw towards a blow dryer but that's just not practice these days. I will say that I can't live without my Turbie Twist, though!! I've been using those for probably 10yrs now and love them. They really do soak up a lot of water and it's nice and light on top of your head. A towel is just heavy and huge and it always falls down. Turbie Twist is the way to go!! I have the same kind of brush for inside the shower, too. Mine's just turquoise! Who wants to battle with knots and tangles in their hair...not me. It's hard to brush long hair when it's wet.

Hey Melissa Alatorre. I saw this video when you first posted it but recently watched it again after getting a Dyson Super Sonic for Xmas this year. Thank you for this video. You and I have the exact same hair type and I have also Keratin treated my hair. I found this review so useful for me and I loved the tips. I think you mentioned that you would like to not have to hold down the cool shot button. Well you don’t have to. If you click the heat button to the point where there is no light on the heat side, the dryer will blow cool air that is the same temperature as the cool shot. Thanks again.

I think I have the same hair type. I get it thinned a lot because I have so much hair and it’s like a puff ball of Hermione hair naturally. It’s coarse and so thick and that I need to straighten it with a straight blow out before styling it with a curler. My salon visits are usually a lot of work for the stylist, they even need a minute to rest their arms. It definitely takes 2 for me as well if they plan to keep time and sometimes they don’t have an available assistant. My hair dresser always sets out extra time tacked onto the original appointment time. I always tip well because my hair is a lot and usually they are astonished by how much hair drops to the ground almost every time.

I got the Dyson blow dryer during the Nordstrom sale last year. I love it, but I exchanged it because it would buzz/hum when it was plugged in (but not in use). I thought it must be a defective one... They sent me another one, and that one made the same noise. I would be in my room, and then I could hear it start "buzzing". It would buzz for about 20 seconds, then stop. It does it about every thirty minutes. I exchanged that one, and now, the third one I have, does the same thing. I can't find anyone that addresses this problem online. I've tried other outlets in my house, so I know it's not that. Also, sometimes my finger slips on the tiny ON switch, and when I don't get it pushed-up the whole way, it shorts the dryer. No amount of pressing the reset button, or plugging and unplugging will get it to start again. It is a good 10 minutes before it will work again. That's not good when I'm getting ready for work in the morning -- I need every minute! Is anyone else having these problems? Did I just happen to get three duds? When the dryer is on and actually blow drying my hair, it's great. Please let me know if yours makes weird noises or shorts easily! I feel like I'm the only one...
@lpg85186 жыл бұрын
I bought this dryer and returned it. It left my hair looking like straw and her hair looked better before he used the dryer. Has anyone had this problem? I really wanted to like this dryer just because it's small and I'm petite, but it takes me 2 weeks to get my hair back in shape after I use this. I tried it once, waited two weeks, tried again and same result, straw hair.

@BlackThorndRose7 жыл бұрын
Ahh! The nozzle is exactly what will make your hair straight and sleek (no matter what type of hair) vs. a hot frizzy mess. Also, not using one to direct the heat can cause a lot more damage to your hair because you’re constantly blowing heat throughout the whole head when it’s not necessary. As a hairstylist I always recommend, if you’re going to blow dry, do it properly or let it air dry and then flat iron it to minimize the heat damage.
@teaaustin14247 жыл бұрын
BlackThornRose127 Thank you! But what if you have kind of a cheap blow dryer? Will a nozzle still make a difference?
@BlackThorndRose7 жыл бұрын
Tea Yes! Because with the nozzle on, you’re not disbursing the heat everywhere, it’s being concentrated to whatever section of hair you’re working with, stopping the heat from blowing over the hair more than it needs to be, which in turn will cause much less heat damage.
