Thank you for watching my videos. OIDC stands for open ID connect which provides federated access to AWS for few Services like GitHub, EKS. While IAM key and secret is normal access on AWS.

A more abstract answer to your question is: access/secret key is password based and you have to care for rotation and so on. the OIDC variant is more like identity based auth and you don't have to care for password rotation
