Thank you for sharing and please keep doing what you do. I'd really like to meet you some day. You build some awesome stuff. Oh one more thing. I love the video you and Mathew put out today. The only thing cooler than an amazingly detailed model is the builder taking the time to show you how they did it. I think making my own coilovers may be a bridge too far for me, but I can't wait to try polishing the highspots on photo-etch versus the less precise and messier thinner infused paper towel I have been using to wipe the raised area. Last thing, and I really hate to ask because your building is award-winning and at the highest level, but what's up with what looks like ejector pin marks on the panel where you removed the Chevy emblem? This thing is a mind blower, and I can't wait for the next installment, even if does end up being the last one.😢
@timkustomАй бұрын
Those aren't injector pin marks, but the locating spots for the roll cage. I did not include that in this video because it obscures some of the details I wanted to feature. Give the coil overs a shot. Really easy to make for many different applications. Thanks for watching!
@jasonrothgeb6071Ай бұрын
@timkustom I will be eagerly awaiting for the next installment to see the roll cage installed.

Looks great.What do you use to attach the phototherapy parts to the plastic?
@timkustomАй бұрын
It depends. Most of the time I simply use clear "paint". Enamel works best, as some lacquers dry too fast. I try to stay away from super glue because it does not allow any time for positioning. Thanks for watching!
@woodybear8298Ай бұрын
How would a spring from a ballpoint pen work?
@timkustomАй бұрын
I don't like to use actual springs because I don't want to fight any recoil. Most don't look in scale either. The beading wire can make a lifetime of springs.
@truckerray753318 күн бұрын
How do you cut away the photo etched pieces from the metal plate?
@timkustom18 күн бұрын
I typically cut them on a piece of glass with a fresh e-xacto. The metal is very soft and cuts easily. Good luck with your projects!

What did you use for the carpet?

It is simply flocking. I blend a couple colors together to add depth.
@KrowKustomsАй бұрын
How do you attach the spark plug wire….. I tried it the other day and it gave me fits! What glue do you use?
@timkustomАй бұрын
I use cheap liquid super glue applied with a needle. I just work slow while the glue sets. Once it is finished, I seal it with a flat varnish.
