This is wonderful for when I do pull out my Cricut in which I seem to make mostly signs. I have over 250 cartridges loaded (not easy) into DS and have many favorites that I have to always look for. I have started using my handy Joy machine for labels more and truly appreciate this thoughtful up date.

My goodness, Carol! I have been looking for the way to actually use them for at least a year now (probably longer). I just happened to click that "kerned" and they fell in!! Yay! I know this info isn't for everyone, but those of us who've had these machines for at least a decade know what's up! LOL!! I have been enjoying my fonts for a few days now. Yay!

Yay! I knew it would help quite a few people, especially those of us who have had Cricut machines for years. I don't know why they make things difficult, but glad I finally found the solution (entirely by chance, by the way!!). LOL!!

Glad it helped! I think that green button was created to annoy. LOL! I understand some people might want the "kerning" option type fonts...but I rather see them all and then narrow to less, as opposed to how they have the default set now. So happy I found them. I have seen tons of videos and it seems everyone just pays for Access and don't worry about looking for their own cartridge fonts like I have.

Thanks Vianney! This is really helpful. I too am old school with a ton of cartridges and you are right, looking for fonts under images is just awful. Jennifer Maker here on KZbin is where I go for all things Cricut related and she released a video about fonts a couple of months ago. Cricut has been rolling out a bunch of updates lately and adding more functions, in fact another one is coming where the weld will "appear" to be going away. It definitely isn't but will be added under a drop list with additional function options. So, I have started to go to her for clear explanations of the changes that have occurred or that are coming.

Cricut needs to hire people who actually use the program, like real crafters. Make the basic things most accessible and easy to find, then go from there. It's craziness. TY for the info!

You are so welcome! That is music to my ears. I knew I wasn't the only one with this problem. I think my fonts disappeared years ago after an update...I guess they hid them behind that "Kerned" option. That should not be the default, but glad I stumbled on this solution yesterday!!! TYSM!

Glad I could help! I don't know why they hide them behind that "kerned" filter. It doesn't make sense bc you can kern all of the fonts close enough to weld...so why separate them out like that? I was so happy to figure that out two days ago and have been using my fonts like crazy since!! LOL!

Hi, great video. I tried to do this, but it looks like things have changed...probably an update?? Now when you go into "Filters" "Kerned" is no longer selected. I cannot figure out now how to see my cartridge fonts so neatly like you have here. Any ideas?

Do you use your Cricut Joy more than the Cricut Explore machine? Don't know if I need the Joy. It would fit on my table better.

Oh, girl. That is a nightmare. You used to be able to link through the port on the older machines...but Cricut disabled that ability. Even though they are still selling Explore Air 2's with the port and saying you can use it in this way. @@VianneyCreates Watched your linked video…geez…”Nightmare” doesn’t begin to cover the process! Lol You are sooo patient!! It would be fabulous if all of the fonts and designs from all of the cartridges could automatically be included in DS. I remember some of the cartridges were kinda pricey back in the day and now that they’re obsolete, it would be a big win for their customers.
