I'd like to see a video tutorial on 3D model based enemies and viewmodels at some point in the future as I don't feel like its elaborated on enough.

This video was simply for the absolute basics of getting models in to your scenes. There are still many things to cover like the ones you mentioned as well as what applications to use to get them game ready, texture changing with FSM, placing them with scripts and moving them with scripts and more. These videos will come at a later date when I have some time to make them :)

Hi, is there any way to create a snowfall effect on the level? it is not necessary that snow actually falls... The effect of flickering snowflakes in front of the camera is enough... I noticed a noise filter on your video and thought about how it could be repeated, but with snow :)
@PixelwolfOG3 күн бұрын
Hey, the noise filter is just part of the shader I wrote for the psx effect but I have also now got an animated HUD effect so it would be possible through that but I also have custom particles that fall for water droplets in certain areas, this could be used to mimic a snow fall as well.

Hi, I don't have the option to import extensions other than m3d why?
@PixelwolfOG2 күн бұрын
Most likely you are on an older build. Download the latex ce dev build and you will have them

Do you know of any software new or old that can use MD3?

This is Noesis. I use this to convert files to MD3 richwhitehouse.com/index.php?content=inc_projects.php&showproject=91

Thank you for sharing these videos. It has really helped me learn the engine quickly. I just shared a video of a lighting test I did in EFPSE. Love to get your feedback: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpiTnmile7-DgK8

Looks like a good balance between light and dark but do remember the most recent dev build has a few lighting bugs in it so may not always work as intended!

@@PixelwolfOG I found that the models I created only make a box around it for collision (bummer). But that gave me an idea, I combined creating invisible walls and modifiers to match a 3D model. I pre-lit and textured a model that is the room you see in the video. The invisible walls are placed to match the room so it looks like the walls are still getting impacts. The results look neat, but are much more time intensive to create.
