How to Easily Kill the Wither in Minecraft 1.19!

This tutorial is outdated as of Minecraft 1.20, please watch the related video to see the updated version of the tutorial for Minecraft 1.20.
This is the easiest way to kill the wither in Minecraft 1.19+. You won't even get hit, and the wither can't break any blocks!
As of version 1.19, this feature only works in Java Edition.

Sometimes the wither stays in the bedrock, but I tested it multiple times and the wither escaped almost every time.

@@dexterlab123 just tried this on 1.20.1 and it worked perfectly. no idea what he's talking about. e: just did it again and it worked. it looked like its head was sticking out a bit more than it was before but maybe that's just confirmation bias. either way it didn't escape and i was able to kill it so it may not work as efficiently as it did before but I feel it's safe to say that it works at least most of the time.

I'm playing this on 1.20.4 on a Paper server, and used this design, but expanded the obsidian platform to 3x3 centered on the center of the portal. I've killed the Wither 7 times so far, and it hasn't escaped even once. Keep using this in 1.20 but expand your platform

Update 2024: Easiest way to kill the Wither (Legit) is to have/do the following (The bare minimum requirements imo): Make Diamond/Iron Set Enchant the set: Helmet - Protection 3-4 Body - Blast Protection 3-4 Legs - Projectile Protection 3-4 Feet - Protection 3-4 Make Diamond/Iron Sword Enchant With Smite 3(III), 4(IV), or 5(V) Make or Find Enchanted Golden Apples x3 or Make or Find Golden Apples x6 Find any cave that has a long hallway. Make sure that there is not a larger cave opening above or below. Make sure NO other mobs are in the area near the wither or in it's line of sight. It will chase after them and blow everything up in it's path. The distance from the wither to you should be at least 5-7 blocks to avoid summoning explosion. Fill up the rest of the area with random blocks of your choice. Summon the wither. Wait for it's explosion after the health bar fills up, then run in and swing at it. Jumping and landing a swing while coming down from your jump makes you crit. with Smite 5(V) it should take you roughly 35 seconds and 6-8 crits to kill the wither Only 1-2 golden enchanted apple is needed to beat the wither. (if you're agressively attacking, only 1 apple is needed) 2-4 golden apples 2-3 bottles of potion of regeneration The wither doesn't hit that hard at all, it just moves around alot and continuously explodes everything around you while applying the wither poison. If wither skeletons spawn, Smite V can easily kill them. Blast Protection honestly is all you need to resist the actual damage a Wither can do. You can solo it very easily.

I tried it an i killed the wither, in my way I went down to bedrock in the nether and spawned 10 golems for bait and yes they did a ton of damage, make sure to have protection on your armor, protection three at least. And shoot arrows when the wither is almost at half health cuz he will exploded killing you at full health and when he is about to die get away. (For bedrock)
