42 years ago you would buy one of those at international Yamaha on Canoga av in the Valley... 42 years ago. It was called the "RATIO RITE"... They still make that? Haven't been able to find one anywhere for decades?

I didn’t know they have been making them that long! I’ve been using them since I was a kid, they make mixing up gas vary easy. I put a link to Amazon in the description below the video. Thanks for for the story, I always enjoy hearing some bits of history!

You can divide the ounces of gas by the mix ratio you want to get the amount or oil you need. Example, I have a gallon of gas and want a 64/1 mix. That would be 128oz (1 gal) divided by 64 (mix ratio) which would be 2 ounces of oil needed for a 64/1 ratio on a gallon of gas. If you only need a half gallon…use 64oz and divide by the mix ratio you want…math is the same. You can confirm the math by comparing it to Amsoil’s mix ratio chart…they do the same math, but just round up or down so it’s simple.

A little math and you’ll be set, say you want a gallon of each. The math is quite simple to do a ratio that may not be on them. You want a gal of 16:1 pour in the oil to match the requirements of 2gal of 32:1 and you will have a gallon or 16:1 A gal of 25:1 simply add the oil for 2gal of 50:1 and you will have a gal of 25.1

Sabre is 100:1

That’s the max recommended mix for Sabre. Has posted right on the bottle for 50:1, as well as 80:1.
