To copy and paste do u need to be on the new canvas style or original one, I have the new version and it would not let me copy and paste object from one file to another, on a desk top

This new update is on Macs Desktop and Macbooks, but not iPads yet.

Did you check in your settings if you have NEW canvas selected instead of Classic ? It needs to be on new to work. Go to the top menu where the 3 lines are and click there to scroll down to settings and click that. At the bottom of the screen is the canvas settings. See if that works

I will never use this function. What we need is a way to make a shadow layer. I have been making that shadow layer in Inkscape, which I don’t know the program at all, so I have to work alongside a KZbin video. And the Inkscape version doesn’t always work exactly how I want it. I do appreciate your updates.

I just updated today and it messed my design space up. I no longer have any controls on the top, my screen is blank even though it shows I have layers in the side panel, the grid is totally gone. I can do nothing. I uninstalled cricut and reinstalled hoping it would fix it but it didn't . I have wasted my whole Sunday. I wish cricut would let us decide when to update and not force us to when they change things. They should test it on their own machines before they release a new update.
