That was the most detailed and well explained video I have seen on how to change a battery. I have been searching all day how to do that, but all the videos I have seen before were not really helpful

You say 121R but the reference book at Costco and other car parts websites state that 2014+ is H5. I called the dealership and they said "6121RMF" (which from that I gathered is 121R). Some Hyundai forums also indicated 121R. I bought an H5 from Costco per their book and it's much larger. Perhaps it might fit, but the jacket definitely wouldn't fit over it. I'm going to return and buy an 121R. Thanks for the video fellow Ottawa resident!
@VirarAutomotive2 жыл бұрын
Glad I could help. I actually this battery a couple months before I made this video so I was sure it was the 121R. I had actually taken the old battery out with me when I went shopping to Costco so that I could do a size match and also because most stores charge a core fee when you buy a new battery and you only get that core fee back when you return your existing dead battery to the store. Just out of curiosity, how did you know I am based out of Ottawa?
@fidottio2 жыл бұрын
@@VirarAutomotive Thanks. I had a gut feeling the H5 would be too big just looking at it. I'll have to make another trip back to Costco. I think in one of your other videos I saw the Pathway Hyundai dealership sticker :)

Does Hyundai Accent 2016 comes with a Heater block?
@VirarAutomotive2 жыл бұрын
Hello, do you mean a block heater? In order to plug in the car in winter to keep the engine warm? The car doesn't come with it from factory. That's an add on accessory that you can get installed at the dealer or just find an aftermarket part that you can install yourself too.

Just the regular type battery will be okay for this Corolla. You have to get the correct battery size though for it. The part store will be able to help you get the right size battery

Change out my battery but can’t get my radio back on what did I do wrong please help?
@VirarAutomotive Жыл бұрын
Your radio doesn't work at all? Or just that your preset radio stations have been reset? if your preset radio stations are reset then that is normal. If your audio system just stopped working, then that is odd. Is that the only issue you are having? I would suggest you do 2 things a) Ensure that the battery cables, Positive (Red) and Negative (Black) are connected properly and tightened well b) Check the fuse for the audio system. It's possible that the fuse needs to be replaced.

@@VirarAutomotive I purchased from a girl at a new job I started. I took it to Auto Zone and they told me it didn't even have a belt and was not safe to drive. Oh, and I need a water pump. No worries I am resilient and will figure this out ;) I have 30 days to figure it out and get it inspected 🤞
@VirarAutomotive2 жыл бұрын
@@marias.4145 No accessory belt? That might just be the issue right there. Accessory belt drives the alternator which charges the battery. No belt --> No alternator running --> No battery being charged. Yes definitely get it inspected. Good luck :)
@marias.41452 жыл бұрын
@@VirarAutomotive Yes, Auto Zone said that it might just be the belt and the pump and once I fix those they will be able to tell me if it was the alternator that was the problem or not. Thanks, I will need all the luck I can get lol. Whatever happened to honest car sellers!? 😒
