My experience completely opposite I have a male and female Male is way more affectionate and attention hungry Female was a loose cannon and only had certain times for pats n stuff Breed may be an input too though, male is a tabby female was black

My tuxedo is a male and extremely vocal & so is my male tabby foster. My female Russian blue only wants pats on her terms, she spends most her time in my screened patio trying to catch geckos. I do have a female tuxedo kitten who is over the top cuddly but is also a bit of a brat. She steals everyone's food, has kangaroo punched my maltese mix and has started picking on Biskit, my 85 lb Shar Pei/Lab dog. Luckily my dog Biskit is very kind and starts heading the other way when she heads for him. My Russian blue (Kiki) has suddenly decided she hates my foster cat because they both like the same chair in my living room.
