I took the Jeep to the same place that tinted my windows/windshield and they wouldn’t do it for the reasons I mentioned in this video. Obviously, that wasn’t the answer I wanted to hear. I’ve been happy with it so far but will let you guys know if something crazy happens!

I live in Las Vegas. So I decided to vinyl wrap only the moonroof. I used cut tape to shape the vinyl in place. One reason why I decided to vinyl is that tint allows all the heat to build up in the glass. With the vinyl on top of the glass the effects were dramatic and I am completely satisfied with the result. This costs me about 20 bucks to do and I usually remove it in the winter so that I can enjoy the moonroof. I have been doing this for years and have had no issues.

I have tinted 3 Mercedes in with limo tint the past 12 years with no problems from tint shop.What I learned is opening and closing the sliding moon roof cover will eventually peel back the foam cloth in all luxury vehicles,so I just tint the roof and leave slide open.

Not sure where you're located, but every tint shop within 2 hours drive of me (in CA) all offer sunroof/moonroof tinting. I've had my sun/moon roofs tinted for well over 10 years without any issues.

Must be an east coast thing because nobody wanted to do it, lol. Glad to hear that yours hasn’t had any issues after 10+ years. I’m not expecting any problems with mine either but still keeping a close eye on it throughout the summer months!

Where did all the excess soapy wager go while you were using the squeegee? Did it affect the head liner at all?

A shop placed the tint on the outside of the sunroof. How do you remove the tint??

U didn’t push the water out hard enough which is why the window has a wavey look

Can you see outside ? Have you had any issues with sunroof cracking?

Yes, you can see through the window clearly day and night from the inside but it is difficult to look through from the outside which adds a layer of privacy. The window and film look exactly the same today as it did in the video. I've had no problems at all with the tint and glad I decided to upgrade!

if windscreens are also laminated, why is it safe to tint it ang not a sunroof?

Technically, you could tint any window in a car but that’s why I mentioned the different types of glass auto manufactures use because I’m almost positive my moon roof is not laminated which is why no local auto shop would do a project like this.

That's a lie my sunroof have been tinted over 6 year
