How To Easily Unlock All Characters FAST | Super Smash Bros Ultimate

So to the ones that are having issues unlocking the characters here's a video I made that should shine some light on what the issue is. The method in this video still works and has been reported to still be working. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5KzlHqem5qfns0 The new patch is live. As of now the patch includes new spirits. There's no word about the patch fixing this method but just in case make sure your switch is not connected to the internet or avoid downloading the update until you have unlocked the characters.

I didn't know about the 10 min cooldown, so that's helpful information! I already have all the characters unlocked, but still. I previously thought you unlocked them faster by defeating harder bots, but apparently the only thing that changed is the fact that each battle is more likely to last longer, requiring less battles to unlock each character.

There’s a distance thing. Use a character and go to hyrule castle. Run around for 20-30 minutes. Then once you have ran around for 20-30 minutes, try the method. It should work then. I don’t have the game cuz my parents can’t afford it but I’m here to help ppl who are having trouble

It did work!!!! The only diference. 1. Is that wen i started the fight, ill kill myself. Then the incoming challenge begans. After that the other difference was. 2. I would go home. A better way to do this is set up a 20 minute 1 stock battle. In that 20 minutes, just run around without attacking the enemy. During the last 45 seconds, eliminate the eopponent. Then you should get the challenger. After winning or loosing that game, restart the whole game and keep going.

Actually it is not random you can see here how to unlock every character, I think that is the 4th column that says, vs battles, the first character you get is ness and it will follow the order, if you already unlocked one, it jumps it to antoher character. Yeah, rematches are great and all, but I can't win no matter how many times I rematch them. I'm missing so many characters and I lose everytime I rematch. I've tried to git gud, but I'm pretty sure I've peaked. I can't get any better. This coming from someone who could hold their own against CPU level 9s in every previous smash title.

There's a trick to it that I figured out not too long after posting my original comment that helped me unlock all the fighters with a bit more ease even before the nerf. Use characters you haven't really used before. The AI learns your fighting style, but if you use a character you haven't used before, you can usually deal with the challenger before they adapt to your fighting style. While kinda scary to think about, they are like the Borg from Star Trek.
